Annual Recap - A Great Year Together

We would like to thank every one of you for choosing to be a member of OPA! We appreciate you very much. We will continue to do our best to provide ongoing benefits to our members.

 

A quick look in review of the past year:


  • Our membership has grown from 99 members a year ago to 129 today!

  • OPA provided balls, nets, paddles, and banners at both Aspen Park and the Sportsplex, plus, court dividers at Aspen, and a windsock and Astro turf at the Sportsplex.

  • OPA has purchased a new indoor net which will be set up at the Sportsplex for the upcoming season. We also plan to hang an OPA banner in the room.

  • OPA organized ladies and men’s leagues throughout the year

  • OPA held a 3-day member tournament at the end of August

  • OPA organized several events over the summer:

    • Mulligan’s pickleball and buffet, June & July

    • Dink for Dogs Tournament in July to raise money for the Otsego County Animal Shelter

    • Beat the Clock Tournament in September

  • Both Tim Arner and Gary Rider held clinics

  • OPA participated in the two-day Kid’s clinic for the Sportsplex day campers.

 

A HUGE Thanks to our Social Committee and the many volunteers for their time, dedication, and commitment to an extremely successful and fun year!

 

We have a lot more planned for next year and look forward to growing our pickleball community. So, stay tuned………………
